HIGH SCHOOL STATE FINALS
June 2 - 5, 2016

STALLS REQUIRED - NO OUTSIDE SHAVINGS
CALL IN OPTIONS:
Call in is ALWAYS the Monday prior to the rodeo! (only exception is STATE FINALS)
1.) Call in to Barb 573-578-6490 on posted date between 5-9 PM.
(it will be busiest between 6:30 and 8:30pm. Keep trying you will get through)
2.) Email The Rodeo Secretary (Barb) before noon on call in date at: email@example.com
3.) SIGN THE BOOK
If you miss all of the above opportunities. You have 24 hours from CALL IN CUT OFF TIME to
call Barb. A $50 late penalty will be assessed upon check in.

6:00 pm Barrel Jackpot
Details coming soon. The time may change. This will be held at the indoor arena, however, in the event of rain or the outdoor pen is wet, this will be canceled.
7:00 pm Team Roping Jackpot
12 slide, $25 per man, 3 head progressive. This will be held at the outdoor arena. In the event of rain or a muddy wet arena it will move to the indoor.

10 am - 12pm Contestant Check In:
Contestants MUST be checked in by noon or you will NOT be allowed to compete at state finals. After checking in, all state qualified contestants competing in state finals will be able to pickup their finals items [jacket, shirt, patch, and 1/4 zip pull over].
NOTE: All stalls, electric hook-up, and arm bands were to be taken care of ahead of time. IF YOU DID NOT, you will have to do this at time of check in.
1pm MANDATORY STUDENT MEETING
All contestants must be present, on time, and in OFFICIAL DRESS. Roll call will be taken promptly at 1pm.
IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT, ARE LATE, OR NOT IN OFFICIAL DRESS , YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE.
Mandatory equipment check for all rough stock riders will be immediately following the student meeting.
Goats will be tied with the event director, Morgan Williams
6pm 1st Performance
GRAND ENTRY MANDATORY. Rodeo will run straight through.

CHECK IN PRIOR TO 11am at FLICKERWOOD ARENA
11:00 am Roll Call - Orientation - Written Test
Orientation is open to the public. Parents/guardians are highly encouraged to attend. After we go through orientation, everyone will be dismissed except for contestants. Contestants will then take the written test portion of the contest.
11:45 am Roll Call
11:50 am Personal Interviews
Interviews may be held in a separate area. Contestants are to meet at Flickerwood for roll call.
1:00 pm Roll Call
1:10 pm Fashion Show - Speeches - Impromptu Questions
Parent, friends, and supporters will be able to go in and be seated any time after the written test is completed.
3:30 pm Roll Call
3:45 pm Horsemanship
Horsemanship pattern will be first and the flag presentations/queen runs will be second. Reigning queen will demonstrate the horsemanship pattern and queen run.
6pm 2nd Performance
*GRAND ENTRY IS MANDATORY
*2014-2015 Cinch All Star Team and Captains will be announced. please be sure you are wearing your CINCH ALL STAR shirt.
*2015 MHSR Cutting Champions will be announced

9:00 am Trap Shoot:
The location is Cape Girardeau County Gun Club. This is located at the Apple Creek Conservation Area about 20 minutes from Flickerwood Arena.
Directions will be available for everyone. Entry fees are $30. Contestants will shoot two rounds. If you have any questions, feel free to call or text Jamie Young 660-833-8905
9:00 am Light Rifle:
As a matter of courtesy, we will have the finals shoot in conjunction with the trap shoot. This is so those who wish to do both can get both events done in one day. The light rifle range is near the trap range. Apple Creek Conservation Area Rifle Range [directions will be available]. Entry fee is $30. Contestants will shoot two rounds. You must have entered at least one shoot prior to the finals to be eligible. For questions contact Alicesha Patten at 573-789-7187.
12:00 pm Luncheon for Contestants and Families:
Please see Susie Rahlmann if you wish to help set up, serve, clean up, etc...
Pulled pork is being purchased. All are welcome. There will be a $5 charge for everyone with the exception of contestants.

I-Q Side Dish (baked beans, salads, chips, etc...)
R-Z Drinks (soda, tea, water, lemonade - if you can spare a cooler to be used please pack your drinks in them to share)
PLATES, FLATWARE, NAPKINS, AND CUPS WILL BE PROVIDED
GENERAL MEETING AND ELECTION OF 2016-2017 BOARD AS WELL AS STUDENT OFFICERS WILL BE HELD IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE LUNCHEON.
BOARD MEETING WITH THE NEW 2016-2017 BOARD MEMBERS WILL FOLLOW THE GENERAL MEETING.
6:00 pm Short Go Performance
Top 12 points leaders in each event, after the completion of the 2nd performance, will compete in the short go.

*2016-2017 Student Officers will be announced
*2015-2016 Scholarship Winner (s) will be announced
*2016-2017 MHSR Queen will be crowned.
